Denise Saunders, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years experience providing counseling and psychotherapy to adults. She has been in private practice for 15 years. Prior to beginning her own practice she worked in higher education in both college student mental health and university career services. She has extensive experience in career development and career management with adults across the lifespan in a variety of disciplines and industries. Her clients consistently tell her that they appreciate her solution focused approach integrating cognitive behavioral techniques.
Dr. Saunders received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Florida State University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, North Carolina Psychological Association, National Career Development Association, and the North Carolina Career Development Association. She has made numerous presentations to student and adult groups in higher education, for-profit businesses, government agencies, and professional organizations, and co-authored articles and book chapters on the career decision-making process.
